add includes for gcc 3.0 compliance, from Andris

Use stat instead of fstat.  fstat loses on NT: reports only the read
mode bit, so the files produced by these programs wind up being read-only!

Preserve time stamps and mode bits in djsplit and djmerge.  Add
a new switch -t to disable this.  Update the docs.

Ran copyright.pl before building a pretest.
